I’m Marcella Bixler, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. I live and work in beautiful Arcata, CA. 

I have served clients as a mental health provider for many years here in Humboldt County. In that time, I have worked with so many folks who have struggled with trauma, anxiety, and various forms of self-destructive behaviors, and remain dedicated to finding and using the most innovative methods for helping my clients to find healing. That is what has motivated me to become certified in Hypnotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and other forms of innovative and effective treatments.

It’s so important to me that the work I do matters. That’s why I spend a lot of time and attention on making sure that I use the most effective methods to help my clients to reach their goals. 

In addition to my therapy practice, I also enjoy spending time with my husband and two daughters and getting out to the beach or to exercise. I love the beauty of the outdoors here in Humboldt County, and take the opportunity to appreciate the beautiful place where we live.
